No Ropes* is a series of events encouraging a deeper connection to nature, to each other, and to our dogs.
Let’s do something good for ourselves (and bring the dogs).
If you’re like me, sometimes you need an extra little push to do something that’s good for you. Well, here’s your invitation to get outside with your dog (if you don’t have one you can borrow mine), with Andrew (that’s me), and with nature.
Being in nature, building community, and connecting with my dogs are some of the things that have helped me through good days and bad. I started Be More Like Your Dog as a platform to share these healthy habits and resources, and to build a community around it, and that’s where No Ropes* comes in.
Though these events will mostly live in the form of group dog walks, I want this project to evolve into what this community needs, and what works best. So please, get in touch with suggestions!
The name No Ropes* refers to the poem by Mary Oliver called “Ropes”. The asterisk refers to the fact that sometimes, we will indeed need literal ropes (leashes).
